Our Story

My first memory of Alice was asking her a question and seeing her smile and walk away, which was either because she had just moved from Brazil and didn't understand what I said or because she didn't think I was a person worth talking too. I like to think it was the former. From that beginning, our relationship slowly built, from learning that she lived only a few houses away from me, to biking with her to school and going on adventures together. Looking back it feels like it must have been fate that brought the two of us together from such far distant corners of the world.

Alice grew up in Brazil while I was born in North Carolina, both of us brought to the same condo complex in Stanford California. At seventeen, when we were both just beginning to think about what kind of people we wanted to be and where we wanted to go in life, we made each other a promise. Whatever happened we would always be "neighbros”, best friends and the one person who we could always trust and confide in.

The next years were full of ups and downs, we went to different schools in different states and followed different paths, but through it all we never broke that promise. There came a moment in my life where I realized that I was at a crossroads. Alice had just left to study in Brazil and I knew that if I let her go she might never come back to me. I quit school, saved up money and flew out to Brazil as soon as I could, knowing in my heart that she was the one. From that moment we knew that we were in this for the long haul and that our bond truly was unbreakable, and now were ready for the next big leap.
